The logs used are sourced from the surrounding home-grown forests with a maximum distance of 100 kilometers . This reduces the energy utilized for transport to a minimum and makes a significant contribution to avoiding emissions.
Sustainability –this means that timber is harvested at a rate compatible to the rate at which it grows back, maintaining and protecting the natural state of the forest soil, fauna and flora. For more than 200 years, the Black Forest has been managed in this way. Because of this method, the forests will continue to remain a reliable supply of high quality wood in the future.
